Our Right to Liberty, Their Reason for Slavery

This exhibit is to open a window into the undeniable dichotomy between the very founding principles of the United States, namely liberty and equality, and the overtly common practice of slavery in this nation.  Due to the size and weight of this topic, we will observe and analyze specific people in history who will help exemplify this dichotomy.  We will first observe pro-slavery thinkers including De Bows and _____ , secondly we will view abolitionist thinkers ____ and _____, and thirdly we  will analyze the particular case of  founding father and slave owner Thomas Jefferson, a man who participated in both schools of thought.
