In 1967, he received the Fordham\u2019s highest honor, the \u2018Insignis medal\u2019 for being a wonderful teacher. After four years, he was inducted into the Fordham\u2019s University Athletic Hall of Fame.\u00a0In 1969, he received the \u2018Silver Buffalo Award\u2019 by the Boy scouts of America and two years later was enshrined in the NFL\u2019s pro football Hall of Fame. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Background<\/h1>\n

Lombardi was a native born to New York\u00a0 City. Born in Brooklyn he would wake up before dawn to attend daily mass being that he was Catholic. And would have became a Catholic priest if not an football coach. As a head coach Lombardi was a phenomenal leader he turned this team around and in the span of 9 years, they won 5 league championships, winning two Super Bowls. Lombardi eventually became known as one of the best football coaches in the history of football.<\/p>\n

Leadership Experience<\/h1>\n

Lombardi had ample experience as a leader through coaching football. Some of Lombardi\u2019s leadership lessons were, it\u2019s about winning, pay the price it takes, and teamwork is essential. Lombardi saw the importance of winning in any game and in life. He couldn\u2019t accept defeat as final and he was single minded in winning his games.Lombardi knew that the price of success was hard work. He believed it and preached discipline in them, and helped them win.Lombardi saw the importance of teamwork and he focuses a lot on it. He saw that team work was the way to win, whether it was in the game or in life.<\/p>\n
