The theme in WordPress provides the layout, colors, fonts, and features of your website. It basically takes all the content you create (your posts, pages, etc) and styles it into an attractive site.

We have provided a number of different themes for you to choose from, and they can all be found under “Appearance.” We recommend that you begin building your site with “Twenty Eleven,” a basic theme built by WordPress:

To change basic features of this theme, click “customize.” You can adjust the color scheme, change the background image, dictate what content should go on the front page, and more.

Other themes have different features that will meet the needs to different types of websites. If you click on the theme icon, you can get a preview of the site without jumping in and publishing it.
